Pizza Casserole
- 8 oz (227g) rigatoni or large tube pasta, cooked (undercooked slightly)
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 1/4 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped (or ½ tsp onion powder)
- 24 oz (680 ml) jar of tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 clove garlic, chopped (or ½ tsp garlic powder)
- 4 ounces sliced/diced pepperoni (microwaved for a few seconds or fried to remove all the grease)
- 8 ounces of shredded mozzarella cheese
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook Italian sausage, ground beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
Drain pasta; place in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Stir in the beef mixture, tomato sauce, spices, and pepperoni. Put mixture in 9x13 pan. Spread cheese on top. Cover. Bake 350 degrees F for 30 min.
OR put half the mixture in SLOW COOKER, add half the cheese. Repeat. Cook on low for 2-3 hours.
