Pasta Sauce

  • 2 pounds hot Italian sausage or 1 ½ punds of cooked hot Italian suasage, sliced or cut into burger
  • 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef or 18 oz cooked ground beef or equivilent
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 2 (28 ounce/796 ml) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (156 ml) can tomato paste
  • 1 (680 ml) can tomato sauce
  • ½ - 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seed
  • 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Cook italian sausage and ground beef (if required)

In a crock pot or dutch oven, mix all ingreadients, adding water last

Cook 4+ hours to allow flavors to develop - If using a duch over, set oven to 200 degrees
